Job description: Position Summary: The Forecasting and Insights Analyst role involves taking ownership of the forecasting process to accurately predict and meet customer demand. It includes optimizing methods to improve forecasting accuracy and inventory levels while minimizing waste. Additionally, responsibilities encompass managing the budget process, contributing to Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), and providing input on New Product Development (NPD). Regular weekly collaborations with the Commercial team are also a key aspect of this position. Job Details: Hybrid Setup – Bridgetowne, Quezon City Monday to Friday | 8 AM to 5 PM Queensland time zone (6 AM to 3 PM Manila Time) *Following PH Holidays Responsibilities: Lead the weekly and monthly demand planning review process championing the requirements and importance of accurate forecasting that includes a robust process that outlines historical sales trends, demand drivers, promotional performance and implements or recommend actions. This leads into the wider S&OP process. Develop accurate forecasting models to support inventory management and reduce product waste. Provide weekly and monthly analysis about sales trends (actual and forecast) using key demand planning metrics (WMAPE, BIAS, MAD) Identify and address root causes of key forecast misses and variances on a daily and weekly basis. Document impacts on actual orders ensuring future demand volumes reflect raw material impacts or DC closures as examples. Ensure robust processes to identify and amend demand with recommendations to Commercial team. Lead Budget process in conjunction with Commercial team. Co-ordinate with Planning Manager and update based on operational Where Made decisions. Reporting of Dumps and Out of Scope on a weekly and monthly basis. Leads National Event Process. Back up to the Business Data Analyst role and Production Planner roles. Work closely with commercial teams to provide insights that drive actionable sales and marketing strategies specific to Demand planning and S&OP. Collaborate with the Commercial team and National Planning Manager to improve forecast accuracy. Coordinate and deliver demand planning activities related to the delivery of NPD & Product change through vigorous monthly, weekly and daily demand planning review process. All modifications to the NPD timelines included in Forecasts are communicated to key stakeholder groups. Monitoring activities of NPD once they have launched and highlighting variances where they differ from the forecast and identifying potential service issues. Challenge the sales forecast with the sales team especially if they differ from previous promotions with the same mechanical distribution. Analysis of event demand in daily buckets. Propose amendments to Forecast daily demand to Account Managers and National Planning Manager for approval. Actively champion our Zero Harm programs & initiatives Ensure, so far as reasonably practicable, the health and safety of workers while they are at work. Take an active role in the site’s safety measures. Qualifications: Proven experience within a FMCG / manufacturing operation (preferably short shelf life). Proven production planning and scheduling experience. Comprehensive understanding of what drives supply chain performance and ability to execute. Experience in delivering commercial results in an operation environment. Experience using planning and scheduling tools along with ERP software(Atlas – John Galt experience is preferred). Previous experience in negotiations (Sales, Customers) is highly desirable. Previous experience working with remote manufacturing sites is a plus. A strong will to learn and grow both personally & professionally. Displays a high standard of written and verbal communication Strong ethics, integrity & attention to detail. Ability to work with and at times co-ordinate multiple stakeholders to achieve common outcomes. High level of capability in managing many moving and evolving activities simultaneously. Exceptional influencing and negotiating skills. High levels of tenacity & resilience, with a result orientated mentality. Ability to think creatively & present new proposals which add value. Strong commercial acumen, respectfully challenging the status quo to deliver growth. Strong ability to problem solve and work things through logically from first principles.
