Job description: Forecast Manager – HarvestingDo you have a thorough understanding of harvesting, yield and crop profiling? Are you able to plan for short, medium and long term demands? Would the opportunity to work for a reputable leader in fresh produce appeal?If this describes you, please get in touch.The Role:· Yield forecasting and data analysis on crop profiling· Work closely with Commercial Team to meet customer requirements.· Manage daily Harvest operations ensuring productivity targets are met.· Lead harvest teams, motivating them to maintain efficiency, speed and quality of work· Understand the technical challenges for specific crops and any relevant quality issues· Organise the logistics of the harvest from weekly forecasts to daily schedules· Acquire a good understanding of all harvest cost structures, including budgets and targets· Monitor the quality of the product, and enforce quality controlYou:· Previous Management experience in soft fruit farming, with an understanding of crop health and harvesting requirements· Strong communication skills, able to direct staff and pass on information to the Line Manager· Good data analysis skills with potential collaboration with external AI forecasting tools.Benefits:Competitive salary, negotiable for the right candidatePrivate Healthcare25 days holiday plus bank holidaysGrowing business with career growthWR Engineering are the #1 recruitment partner for engineering, manufacturing & technical sales jobs.
