Job description: Mō te Tūranga | About the RoleReporting to the Service Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all servicing and defect repairs are managed efficiently and in alignment with the Linfox Fleet Maintenance Policy. You will need to leverage your expertise in heavy vehicle mechanics to oversee the maintenance, repair scheduling, and compliance of our diverse fleet.Key Responsibilities:
- Fleet Maintenance & Scheduling – Plan and schedule servicing, maintenance, and repairs across various business units in collaboration with preferred service providers.
- Procurement & Cost Control – Raise purchase orders for parts and outsourced work while implementing cost reduction strategies.
- Fleet Inspections & Audits – Conduct regular inspections to ensure all vehicles comply with safety, operational, and service requirements.
- Incident & Accident Support – Assist in accident response and manage insurance processes according to company guidelines.
- Customer Service & Relationship Management – Foster strong professional relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
- Contractor & Supplier Management – Liaise with external vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective service completion.
He Kōrero Mōu | About YouQualifications and Experience:
- Trade Qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics – Essential.
- F Endorsement License – Required + Class 5 License – Advantageous.
- 5+ years of experience in servicing and maintaining heavy mechanical equipment.
- Experience in fleet maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs within a transport/logistics/warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and fleet-related software systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
