We supply, install and service a broad range of equipment, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers and fire suppression systems.Job DescriptionThe Team Leader will be instrumental in supporting the Compliance Manager to ensure that high quality and cost effective Fire Risk Assessments and services are provided by Allsaved Ltd in compliance with all associated legislation and standards.The role holder will lead a team of Fire Risk Assessors and hold responsibility for ensuring all Fire Risk Assessments are completed to a scheduled plan and that Risk Assessors maintain the appropriate skills, competence and qualifications for their role.Fire Risk Assessments will be undertaken at Utility and Commercial sites and the Team Leader will oversee Assessor’s engagement with clients regarding site-level issues and ensure any gaps in the client needs of Allsaved Ltd products and services are identified and discussed with the client.As part of day to day working in external locations, opportunities must also be taken to identify and market the company products and services to new businesses.The Team Leader will also undertake Fire Risk Assessments and advise on/undertake Fire Risk Assessments for major corporate clients and in complex sites.The specific accountabilities of this flexible role may alter from time to time in order to meet the needs of the business/client. Accountabilities will be delivered through a team of multi-skilled Fire Risk Assessors, working primarily across the UK and will include (or be equivalent in nature to) those listed.Responsible for the timely delivery of the annual schedule of Fire Risk Assessments to required quality standards and all appropriate legislation and regulations.Responsible for ensuring the competence and effectiveness of a team of Fire Risk Assessors, through oversight, audit MI, monitoring of training completion and reporting performance through the Compliance Manager.Responsible for facilitating training and day to day support to Fire Risk assessors and providing feedback and coaching to individuals.Undertake high-level Fire Risk assessments.Responsible for providing technical support and advice to large scale/complex sites.Responsible for full and effective use of internal MI systems (Simpro) including recording all client interactions.Ensure completion of reports in respect of all work undertaken within given timeframes and in line with BAFE SP205Ensure effective engagement with clients in respect of work undertaken, and that clients have a full understanding of the outcomes of assessments, risks identified and remedial work being arranged on their behalf. Ensure all relevant documentation is issued to the client within agreed timeframes.Maintain effective ongoing relationships with clients and provide day to day support to clients.Share best practice and identify areas of continual improvement in company sales, service and processesEnsure full adherence to company values, policies, procedures, standards and objectives.Communicate with the office admin team with regards to any special requirements.Maintain Allsaved Ltd cross selling/up selling standards to existing clients and new business.Remain up to date and compliant with all relevant legislations, organisational procedures, policies and professional codes of conduct in order to uphold legal requirements and standards of practice.Maintain a high representation of the Allsaved brand, through exceptional personal and professional standards (including Allsaved equipment, materials and vehicles).Challenge existing practices and generate ideas and solutions, recognising and balancing risks with reward, meeting agreed timescales.Support equality and diversity and respect customers, clients and other members of staff regardless of gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, religion and ethnic origin.Ensure full compliance to all Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety directives, Personal Protective Equipment, Accident Reporting as well as internal Allsaved safety standards.Role DemandsThe job requires the post holder to respond to priorities and interruptions from Fire Risk Assessors.A requirement to use initiative and independently respond to unanticipated problems.The role will include ongoing requirements for lifting or carrying, pushing or pulling items of moderate weight.The work will involve considerable exposure to environmental demands on the job holder e.g. working for periods of time outdoors.Ability to travel independently (a company vehicle will be provided) including London in order to lead the team.Other Significant Role RequirementsAllsaved has UK wide operation and therefore the job holder may be required to work in different geographical locations within the UK. As part of the package a van and fuel card will be provided along with all necessary plant, equipment, specific site training and PPE. Overnight stays may also be required and expenses will be paid.Level of KnowledgeGood knowledge of relevant British Standards for the Fire Safety Industry, Health and Safety Legislation, Codes of Practice, Workplace Regulations and appropriate Building Regulations. – EssentialGood knowledge and experience of regulating fire safety compliance – EssentialSound and accurate IT knowledge, confidence in using different types of management systems and devices including handheld computer devices to enable accurate data entry. – EssentialMinimum of five years’ experience as a Fire Risk Assessor – DesirableGood knowledge and current experience in training in aspects of Fire Safety – Desirable .Risk Assessment SP205 Auditing – DesirableQualificationsProfessional qualifications e.g FIA or equivalent in the following are – DesirableFIA Fire Risk Assessment, Responsibilities and Procedures.A recognised qualification to be able to deliver Allsaved trainingFire Safety Management & Risk Assessment qualification, NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management or Equivalent – Essential.Full UK driving licence – EssentialExperienceExperience of internal audit, feedback and monitoring and closure of remedial actions.Experience of managing a team (carrying out appraisals) delivering good and challenging information to individuals or the wider team.Experience and a proven track record in Fire Safety and conducting complex Fire Risk Assessments.Working with portable/handheld devices.Working within a related discipline.Proven experience of working in industrial/commercial and residential environments.Working alone and as part of a team.Working in a client-orientated environment where high standards of customer care is achieved.Have good communication skills when explaining technical information to staff and/or clients.Experience of traveling to jobs / working away and managing client expectations.SkillsAbility to organise and prioritise work, coordinate a variety of tasks in a clear and logical way and meet agreed deadlines with good attention to detail.Ability to work effectively under pressure, influencing a team and ensuring quality standards are met, priorities understood and resources managed effectively.Ability to inspect sites, interpret technical information and solve varied problems.Good communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively with staff and a range of clients and create effective working relationships.
