The teams here at LemFi are passionate about their work and expertise, but also lend hands on cross-functional responsibilities to ensure the success of the company and the satisfaction of our clientele.Job Summary: The Fintech Reconciliations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the reconciliation process for various financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role involves managing discrepancies, working with multiple departments, and maintaining the integrity of our financial data.Responsibilities are as follows:

  • Reconciliation Oversight: Lead and manage the daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation processes for our global processor and banks operations.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies or variances in financial data, ensuring all issues are addressed promptly and accurately.
  • Control Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls and procedures to minimize errors and enhance the reconciliation process.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and guide a team of reconciliation specialists or analysts, fostering a culture of precision and accountability.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports for senior management on reconciliation status, discrepancies, and trends, highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Compliance: Ensure all reconciliation activities comply with financial regulations, company policies, and best practices in fintech.
  • System Utilization: Work closely with IT to leverage or enhance current systems or to implement new reconciliation tools or software that can increase efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various departments to ensure cohesive workflows and data integrity across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years in financial operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role specifically in reconciliations.
  • Experience in the fintech or financial services industry is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
  • Expert level knowledge of reconciliation practices and financial software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Proficient in SQL, Excel, and other data analysis tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
