Our client is looking for a contract Financial System SaaS Migration Project Manager to work with their I.T. and Financial System team to migrate an existing on-prem Financial System (Unit4) to the vendor SaaS.What you will be doing:
Project Management & DeliveryDevelop and execute a comprehensive project plan for migrating Unit4 ERP to Vendor SaaS, ensuring alignment with business objectives, IT strategy, and security policies.Define project scope, milestones, timelines, and resource plan in collaboration with stakeholders.Manage project risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies, particularly in platform migration, integrations, security, and change management.Establish long term support model with vendor and internal teams for future system maintenanceand development.Stakeholder & Vendor ManagementServe as the primary liaison between internal departments (Finance, IT, other user departments), Unit4, and third-party vendors.Drive change management efforts, including training, communications, and adoption strategies for end-users.Work with Unit4 and third-party vendors to evaluate data compatibility, migration strategy, integration API compatibility and configuration gaps.Technical & Platform Migration OversightEstablish platform migration plans, ensuring validation, reconciliation, and cleanup steps are in place.Identify and redevelop customizations, reports and processes that need to be rebuilt or reconfigured in the SaaS environment.Oversee integration planning and execution, ensuring that Unit4 SaaS connects seamlessly with other on-prem or SaaS systems such as HR, Budgeting, Revenue, Internal Forms, and Asset Management.Reassess Custom Workflows: Determine if workflows need to be replaced or reconfigured in the SaaS model.Identify & Validate APIs: Work with Unit4 SaaS APIs and third-party vendors to ensure seamless data flow between connected applications.Work with integrations developers who will be using Azure API Management, Logic Apps, and other cloud-based integration tools to support and re-develop integrations.Ensure security and compliance requirements are met in collaboration with IT security teams.Validate data integrity, testing processes, and UAT before go-live.What you must have:7+ years of project management experience in ERP, SaaS migration, or cloud transformations.Strong understanding of ERP systems (Unit4, Oracle, SAP, Workday, Dynamics, or similar), including finance, HR, payroll, procurement, and budgeting modules.Proven experience leading on-premise to SaaS ERP migration projects, preferably with Unit4, or other Financial ERP systems.Knowledge of SaaS architecture, multi-tenant environments, cloud security, and vendor-managed hosting models.Strong understanding and experience in managing ERP integrations, financial systems, HR/payroll processes, and reporting tools (SQL, Azure, APIs, etc.).Familiarity with Azure services (API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus, SQL, Key Vault, Event Grid, etc.) is a plus.Proven track record in managing large-scale IT projects, preferably in a public sector, municipal, or enterprise environment.Experience working within a structured PMO environment, including adherence to governance frameworks and project portfolio management best practices.Experience working with Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project management methodologies.
