Job description: Financial Risk Assessment Analyst will perform financial risk assessments on Third Parties (TPs) identified as applicable by the TP Risk Assessment Process (TP-RAP) and the Inherent Risk Questionnaire (IRQ). Further, this role will be engaged in the pre-contract and ongoing monitoring third party financial risk assessments process in scope of the Third Party Management (TPM) policy and provide Objections and No Objections.Reporting to the Manager of Financial Risk Assessments, this position will liaise with, Sourcing, Third Party Credit Risk, Third Party Management teams, Business Activity Owners and Third Parties.Job Background/Context:A key priority for the Financial Risk Assessment Team is to help strengthen Citi’s Third Party Management (TPM) framework and program. Integral to this framework is strengthening the established Citi’s Financial Risk Assessment Program to improve the quality and depth of the financial risk analysis performed on external Third Parties identified by TP-Risk Assessment Process (TP-RAP) and the Inherent Risk Questionnaire (IRQ).Key Responsibilities:Perform financial analysis on Third Parties and escalate concerns and provide guidance to stakeholdersProvide Go-No-Go decisions on relationships that are in scope of FRAEngage in initiatives to further improve the Financial Risk Assessment ProgramIdentify process enhancements based on changing regulatory or client requirementsPartner with the TP-RAP, IRQ, Third Party Credit Risk, Third Party Commercial Risk, Third Party Management, Sectors and Business to ensure adherence and compliance to the TPM Policy and other related policiesAct as subject matter expert and provide input into global policy, standards, procedures, and internal processes for Third Party Financial Risk AssessmentIdentify and implement continuous process improvement initiatives, including defining business requirements, reviewing specifications, and providing user acceptance testing supportEnsure operating procedure documents are current and appropriate controls are established and documentedKeep abreast of business-specific policies and standards involving Third Party financial due diligenceSupport TP Management (TPM) governance committees as requiredOther related supplier risk governance duties as requiredKnowledge/Experience:3+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis / credit (Required)Experience with credit risk (Preferred)Experience in financial analysis modeling (Preferred)Skills:Strong understanding of financial statements, ability to perform and review financial analysis, and identify areas of concern – RequiredExcellent analytical skills and the ability to present information in a succinct format to managementStrong attention to details and accuracy with a keen eye for process management and documentationProactive problem-solving and decision-making, with the ability to exercise sound, timely and independent judgmentExcellent organizational and interpersonal skillsAbility to quickly grasp and master new requirements and related knowledgeAbility to monitor tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes, capacity to perform well under pressureCross-cultural, cross-functional, and ability to collaborate across geographic locationsProficient in MS Office applicationsQualifications:CA/CMA/MBA Finance – RequiredCredit Officer or Equivalent – PreferredDemonstrated success in contributing within a team environmentFluent in English, both oral and written, with the ability to articulate complex and sensitive issues to managementResults/task orientated with excellent attention to detailAbility to manage and prioritize effectively and resolve conflicting prioritiesAbility to work well as part of a team and autonomouslyCompetencies:Demonstrates optimism and agility in adjusting to new and emerging opportunities and challengesConveys a sense of urgency, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy work environment, with proven ability to meet tight deadlinesDrives issues to closure, persists despite obstacles and oppositionWell organized when working under pressureAbility to work and thrive in a flexible matrix organization with focus on networkingCreates a positive team environment in which people of diverse backgrounds feel valued, respected and appreciated.Job Family Group: Risk ManagementJob Family: Operational RiskTime Type: Full timeCiti is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.Qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.Citigroup Inc. and its subsidiaries (“Citi”) invite all qualified interested applicants to apply for career opportunities.
