Job description: The Financial Reporting Specialist will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial statements, supporting statutory reporting, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with IFRS/local GAAP and internal policies.
- Perform general ledger (GL) accounting activities including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide documentation required by internal and external auditors.
- Maintain integrity of the chart of accounts and assist in its periodic review and alignment.
- Reconcile and analyse balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business reporting needs and financial analysis.
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to drive efficiency and accuracy in reporting.
- Utilize ERP systems (e.g. AS400 or equivalent) for accounting operations and reporting processes.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting/reporting, preferably in a shared service environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with AS400, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP tools is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, standards, and financial reporting frameworks.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially during month-end/quarter-end closures.
