Job description: Financial Reporting ManagerLocation: ReadingSalary: £60,000 – £70,000About the Company:Our client is a dynamic and fast-growing financial services company seeking a highly skilled ACA Qualified Audit Manager from a Top 6 audit firm to join their expanding finance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to transition into industry and play a pivotal role in financial reporting, IFRS & UK GAAP compliance, and M&A activities.Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements under IFRS and UK GAAP, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Leading the external audit process, including managing discussions with auditors and advisors, while proactively addressing and resolving queries.
• Preparing technical papers outlining accounting treatments for complex or one-off transactions.
• Ensuring accurate financial reporting to regulators for the group’s regulated entities.
• Drive improvements in financial reporting processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
• Support senior leadership with strategic financial insights to aid decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the financial impact of business initiatives.

Key Requirements:

• ACA qualified with reputable firm
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS
• Knowledge and experience of UK reporting requirements
• Experience of consolidations and acquisitions accounting
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong analytical and report writing skills.
