Duties will include:

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team, promoting a culture of collaboration and growth.
  • Manage the full cycle of financial reporting processes, including month-end close, balance sheet reviews, and weekly reports, while ensuring precision and timely delivery.
  • Lead the planning and forecasting for statutory profit and loss accounts, balance sheet, and cash flow projections.
  • Collaborate with Finance Business Partners to provide reliable financial data and actionable insights that guide business decisions.
  • Prepare and oversee the production of statutory financial reports, regulatory disclosures, and compliance documentation.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, update workflows, and strengthen internal controls.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and facilitate audit-related requirements.
  • Handle special projects, conduct detailed analyses, and produce ad hoc reports as needed.

The Candidate
You are a proven leader with strong technical accounting skills and a passion for continuous improvement. To succeed in this role, you will bring a collaborative mindset, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence. Key requirements include:

  • Big 4 / Mid Tier first movers at Manager and Senior Manager level are strongly encouraged to apply
  • 6–10 years or more experience in technical accounting, with chartered and industry exposure preferred.
  • CA/CPA qualified, with comprehensive knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team development experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
