The Financial Reporting Manager will have 4-6 direct reports. They also aim to foster a culture that values openness, transparency and individual achievement.How you’ll make an impact?The Accounting & Reporting team ensures the business receives accurate, timely, and insightful management accounts. As the Financial Reporting Manager, you will serve as a UK subject matter expert, stepping in for the Senior Accounting and Reporting Manager when needed and contributing to the team’s operational excellence, leadership, and innovation.

  • Act as the UK authority on Accounting & Reporting, demonstrating deep expertise in business processes, systems, and operational areas.
  • Offer expert technical advice on complex financial challenges, adapting seamlessly to a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Implement and maintain a strong control framework to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial records and processes.
  • Provide exceptional stakeholder support, delivering seamless end-to-end financial services.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting and Reporting Manager to ensure management accounts and financial reports are delivered on time, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Manage month-end closing activities for designated functions or business areas, ensuring compliance with internal and group reporting requirements.
  • Engage proactively with projects impacting accounting workflows, identifying potential risks and aligning processes with industry best practices.
  • Stay current with advancements in systems and industry standards, assessing their applicability to organizational goals.
  • Drive change by developing compelling business cases and influencing senior decision-makers across financial and operational teams.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve processes to align with the organization’s changing business landscape.
  • Lead by example, embodying values such as respect, collaboration, integrity, and open communication.
  • Support and guide Team Leaders, fostering a collaborative environment and encouraging professional development.
  • Empower team members to grow by providing tailored coaching and development opportunities.
  • Build a versatile, cross-functional team of experts to address critical dependencies and streamline operations.

Why our Client is excited about you

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA/ACA) with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Strong management accounting expertise with a deep understanding of risk and control processes.
  • Experience managing a teams
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with SAP or BI systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with financial and non-financial personnel.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technical accounting and reporting guidelines.
