Job description: The Treasury BranchSalary: HKD$64,780 per monthEntry Requirements: The applicant should –
1. have a bachelor’s or post-graduate degree from a local university, or equivalent, major in finance, economics, risk management, business administration, or public policy studies; AND
2. have at least 5 years’ full-time post-qualification experience working in the financial services sector, for example banks and fund management companies, or in research or public bodies; AND
3. have attained Level 3 or above in both Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent [see Note]; AND
4. have effective analytical, communication and presentation skills; AND
5. preferably have good knowledge and understanding of financial markets and global regulatory landscape; AND
6. have a high degree of proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and English.Note:1. ‘Grade C’ and ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ and ‘Level 2’ respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.Duties: Main duties include:
1. To conduct comprehensive research and analysis on global financial policies, market trends, and economic conditions to inform policy making;
2. To analyse quantitative and qualitative data to assess the impact of existing policies and propose evidence-based recommendations for new initiatives;
3. To collaborate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, financial institutions, and international organisations, through coordination of industry engagement sessions and events, to gather insights and foster partnerships that support policy objectives;
4. To prepare speeches, reports, briefing materials, and presentations that clearly articulate policy positions, findings, and recommendations;
5. To stay abreast of global financial developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends to provide timely updates and advice to the bureau; and
6. To perform any other duties as directed by senior officers.Terms of Appointment: The successful candidate will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for a period of 24 months. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service need and the performance of the candidate.Fringe Benefits1. A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period with consistently high standard of performance. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Government’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
2.
