My client needs someone to hit the ground running in this role; you’ll need to have a minimum of 5 years of experience specifically in the area of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. You must have a mixture of strong accounting knowledge as well as the skills and experience to extract information from an ERP system and create budgets and forecasts (including using SQL queries). You will primarily be involved in developing and maintaining 12mth and longer-term budgets and forecasts. However, the role will also include work involving system and process improvements which you will lead. We are ideally looking for someone available to start as soon as possible.Duties:

  • Prepare models for scenario planning and detail annual financial budgeting cycles using planning methods like predictive planning, driver-based planning, and multi-scenario planning to create financial forecasts.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making.
  • ETL – Extract, Transform, Load data from the source financial system to the planning and budgeting system.
  • Create and maintain budgets, forecasts and reports.
  • SQL query writing to extract data.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Lead system and process improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience supporting Finance Systems, preferably in the education industry or for a large organisation.
  • Power BI experience preferred.
  • Proven experience working with ERP systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • 5+ years of experience with forecasting/budgeting systems.
  • SQL database experience required.
  • Strong relationship and communication skills.
