Job description: Financial Planning & Analysis AccountantThe Role:My client is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes. You will support budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking to ensure the financial health of the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for driving business growth through financial insights.Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to evaluate the company’s financial performance.
  • Prepare and maintain financial forecasts, budgets, and variance reports.
  • Analyze trends and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights to management.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of financial models for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and provide financial insights for business planning.
  • Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Assist with financial audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Recommend improvements to financial processes and systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

About You:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA) with 1-3 years PQE.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or financial planning roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial modeling and accounting software is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly to both finance and non-finance teams.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
