Job description: Financial Planning & Analysis AccountantAbout the Role:A prominent retail company is looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant. This role involves providing financial analysis and strategic support to key stakeholders across the business. You will be integral to the budgeting, planning, and forecasting processes, adjusting to the dynamic needs of the business.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide detailed analysis on KPIs to key business stakeholders.
• Support business performance through in-depth analysis of regular operations and strategic initiatives.
• Contribute to the finance team’s understanding of performance, focusing on sales and profit margins.
• Lead the creation of strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts for designated business areas, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Deliver continuous analysis for forecasts and budgets throughout the year.
• Collaborate with the sales team to optimize profitability across all stores.
• Align with the finance team on objectives, budgets, and performance targets.
• Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to identify opportunities for improvement and increased profitability.

About You:

• Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• 2-3 years of experience in a financial or commercial role.
• Strong financial analysis skills and proficiency in Excel.
• Commercial experience in a business environment similar to retail.
• Detail-oriented and comfortable working across teams.
• Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
• Self-motivated with a proactive, positive approach.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
