• Handle the preparation of the management accounts, including monthly P&L, cashflow forecasting and balance sheet accounts
• Lead the month end close including reconciliations, journals, fixed assets, pre-payments and accruals
• Oversee the payroll process that is outsourced to an external provider
• Prepare income tax, PAYG, BAS and FBT
• Manage annual budget and forecast preparation, and provide analysis of performance versus budgeted expectations
• Review Trust and Controlled Money accounts transactions and assist with annual audit
• Involvement in the training and development of colleagues in finance team

Your Skills:

• CPA/CA qualifications are desirable, although candidates close to finalising their studies will be considered
• Strong preference that you have prior experience in the legal sector, or in a professional services firm
• Bring sound financial accounting expertise and have had involvement in the preparation of the annual budget & forecast process
