Job description: Competitive salary + 10% superannuation + range of market leading employee benefitsHybrid role + centrally located offices in Britomart + WFH availableDevelop your career with Westpac!Mō te tūranga | About the RoleAs the Financial Crime Specialist – Correspondent Banking Due Diligence (CBDD), you will provide compliance advice and support to the business across all aspects of Financial Crime, with specific focus on cross border due diligence, especially correspondent banks and the associated industry standards used.You will also be responsible for ensuring that correct maintenance and storage of this information is maintained so the right information is held at all times. You will also support compliance and governance across AML/CFTKey responsibilities include:Work with various Westpac teams to complete KYC and AMLCFT assessments requested by global banks that are assessing Westpac’s risk and control environment.Develop and maintain the Westpac and associated subsidiaries Wolfsberg Questionnaire, ensuring the refresh is managed in a timely manner to avoid expiry.Develop associated processes and procedural guidance for CBDD in line with the Financial Crime Governance team requirements.Engage with stakeholders to provide compliance and governance support across all Financial Crime risk classes (AML/CFT, Sanctions, ABC, Foreign Tax)Support the Financial Crime Compliance and Governance Manager in respect of:governance activities such as internal risk reporting, framework and strategy reviews, and policy development.supporting compliance with all relevant Financial Crime regulatory requirements across Westpac.identifying systemic issues and implications of control failures.Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
