Job #4861 – Our client, a well-established organization with a strong global presence, is seeking a Financial Controller to join them for a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role offers the opportunity to support multiple regional teams, including operations in the U.S. and Latin America, with responsibilities spanning full-cycle controllership, financial reporting, audits, payroll, and tax compliance. Reporting to senior leadership, this position plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and scalability. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicates effectively, and works well independently. Main responsibilities include:

• Prepare financial statements, manage monthly and year-end close processes, support SOX documentation and liaise with auditors
• Oversee sales tax compliance, review contracts for tax consistency, track revenue, and handle tax risk mitigation
• Manage payroll processing, 401(k) reconciliation, 1099 reporting, and commission calculations
• Administer banking, approve disbursements, reconcile accounts, manage intercompany billing, and support budgeting
• Assist with royalties, maintain financial controls, and coordinate compliance filings

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• A CPA designation, complete or in progress, is considered an asset
• Minimum 5-8 years of progressive financial management experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• Highly organized and strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills

Assets:

• System experience with SAP or ADP
• Experience with SOX
• US GAAP experience

How You Will Be Rewarded:

• $120,000 – $140,000 salary range
• 3 weeks’ vacation pro-rated
• Hybrid work model – 2 days WFH
