Then you might be our new colleague in Financial Controlling & Reporting, at our headquarters in Randers.At Financial Controlling & Reporting in Danish Crown, we are currently seeking a new controller. You will be working in a team of dedicated colleagues who allocate costs, accrue, control, and report the monthly results for several companies within the DC Group. Between month-end closures, we work on projects aimed at optimizing and automating processes to enhance the business’ efficiency and transparency. This is why our workdays are rarely the same.In collaboration with colleagues in our Shared Service Center in Poland our primary role is to ensure accurate financial figures and to ensure that Danish Crown complies with regulations and procedures. In Randers we primarily focus on complex and business-specific processes within Danish Crown. You will regularly be required to reconcile accounts and document relevant areas within the financial landscape, alongside your team members. We expect that with continuous training, you will take on independent responsibilities within specific companies and to take lead on different initiatives including implementation within our financial scope.Do you want to be professionally challenged through a wide range of tasks?
You will be part of delivering high quality data to the business during month-end close and optimizing and streamlining workflows across the organization. Therefore, you can expect to be involved in various ad-hoc tasks and change projects, where your latest theoretical knowledge and/or practical experience comes into play.Your key tasks will include:

  • Allocate cost between cost accounts and cost centers.
  • Control and accrue cost during month-end close.
  • Reconcile specific balance accounts and control of compliance requirements.
  • Participating in month-end consolidation and reporting of financial figures.
  • Standardize and automate processes around financial reporting and compliance.

In the different projects and tasks, you will work across functions and, in some cases, across borders which will bring a broad experience in a global business.We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: It’s not about the number of years but the right foundation of skills and an analytical mindset. Educational backgrounds such as Cand.merc, in Management Accounting & Control (MAC), HD(R), or similar, or proven experience within controlling and accounting is preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Excel, using Excel Power Query and maybe even VBA coding (macros). Experience with SAP and SAP BPC is a plus. Do you also have experience in Power Automate or other RPA tools you can look forward to being our local superuser assisting our central RPA experts.
  • A curious approach with an analytical mindset: You asks questions and challenge status quo on existing processes to help develop and improve the existing. You approach tasks and projects with an analytical mindset making sure all details are thought of and handled.
  • Team Player: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative spirit. Your stakeholders are many and diverse, therefor you are comfortable in this setting also.
  • Proactive Approach: An open personality with the willingness to proactively engage with colleagues and the business.
