Founded in 2007, Windward is a leading hospitality management company, managing and operating hotels on behalf of their owners.Join us today as a Financial Controller!About the roleAbout The RoleJob Purpose:Reporting to the General Manager, the Financial Controller will manage the day-to-day operation of the Finance office. The financial controller will assist in ensuring the efficient and effective running of the finance function within the hotel. They should consistently seek to provide business acumen to parties within and outside the finance function to ensure that risk is mitigated and the opportunity taken. They should seek to partner with General Manager along with other non-finance-related disciplines to deliver on the overall objectives of the business.Financial Controller Key Duties and Responsibilities:MAIN DUTIESKey ResponsibilitiesPro-active contribution to the overall property management and cost management.Safeguard the assets of the hotel with particular emphasis on the maintenance of sound internal control systems.To develop the skills and competencies of the finance teams in all areas of the finance function.To assist in the personal development of relevant management on financial awareness.To drive and lead our departmental managers in achieving our hotel KPI’s.To posses a strong acumen in technology to analysis data in real time and turn into valuable business insights.Preparation of monthly management accounts including Profit and Loss Account, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.Preparation of weekly financial reports including forecasting of profits, cash and payroll.Assistance in the preparation of books and files for audit and declaration of VAT and payroll taxes, including compliance with payment deadlines.RequirementsWe are looking for ambitious, confident and professional individual with strong communication, organisational, analytical and management skills.Process of weekly payrollProcessing of creditors ledger (Procure Wizard & Sage)System experience of Sage, Opera and Procure Wizard though not essential.The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with 3+ years’ proven experience in an accountancy role.The ideal candidate will demonstrate accounting experience and must have worked in a hospitality or food & beverage environment.Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.Be able to effectively work with and guide other members of the management team in relevant financial matters.About the companyWindward Management Limited is a trusted leader in hospitality management, renowned for delivering operational excellence and exceptional guest experiences.
