Job description: About the Client
Our client is sourcing a Financial Analyst for an 18-month contract.About the Opportunity

• Producing detailed monthly and quarterly financial summaries, evaluating deviations from targets, and delivering insights to guide business decisions
• Partnering with department leaders to build and analyze budgets and forecasts, identifying trends, risks, and areas for improvement. Preparing executive-level presentations summarizing key financial insights
• Creating and refining templates and tools to support the financial planning process, and consolidating input from across the business
• Working closely with various teams across the company to align financial plans with broader organizational goals, ensuring metrics are monitored and goals are tracked
• Coordinating with accounting to ensure accuracy and integrity in reported figures

About You

• A diploma or degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, along with at least 2 years of experience in a finance-focused role (such as FP&A or financial analysis)
• Actively pursuing, or having already earned, a CPA designation
• Advanced Excel abilities (including pivot tables, nested formulas, and macros), and familiarity with Microsoft tools such as PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Teams. Comfort with Power BI, Power Query, or SQL is a strong asset
• Ability to pull data from systems, create complex reports, and provide clear commentary and interpretation
• Strong communication skills and confidence in breaking down financial concepts for leadership audiences
