Built through innovation and commitment, reinforced by an exceptional management team, we are thriving.To support our growth strategy, we are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our office Finance Team.About the RoleThis Brisbane CBD full-time office-based role is part of a talented team, and will undertake daily accounting, analysis and reconciliations across the Group’s venues. Working with the team at times and autonomously at times, this role’s responsibilities are many and include:Bank account reconciliation and assist in processing payments
Preparation of statutory reporting & surveys
Daily cash flow control and reporting
Ensure accurate recording of income and expenditure in line with AASB
Calculate and input month end adjustment accrual journals, cross-checking intercompany transactions and ensure month end accounts are closed in a timely matter
Manage GL for various business entities, and reconcile monthly
Assisting in managing tax compliance including income tax, BAS and FBT reporting
Collect, interpret, review and report on financial information
Produce monthly and ad-hoc financial reports
Maintain various company registers
Assist with due diligence, external audits
Identify and assist with the resolution of project-related accounting issues
Contribute to improving system and reporting processes
Review, monitor and help line managers manage budgets
Support and backing for AP and AR staff where required
Understand and integration various linkages across the Finance group & other related entitiesWhat we need:Hold an Accounting degree; preferably with CA/CPA (or nearing completion)
Sound business acumen, supported by at least 3-4 years of experience in a similar position
Have working knowledge of accounting software – preferably with experience in using Epicor and MYOB
Experience working in a transformation / change environment, with minimal supervision.
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with capability to problem solve and a drive to analyse and understand situations/tasks.
Good IT skills, including intermediary to advanced knowledge of Excel.
Must have unlimited working rights in AustraliaTo the right person we offer a great salary and conditions, in a well-managed environment.

Expected salary: $60001 – 80000 per year
