They are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team on a contract basis during a busy period of change and transformation. You will be an integral team member and have staff management. Ellerslie based.The Role
The role of the Senior Financial Accountant reports into the Financial Controller and assists the wider finance team with general accounting functions, supporting the month-end and year-end, complex reconciliations with a large focus on reporting. You will be someone who is experienced in looking at workflows and understands how to streamline processes.Your duties will include:

Prepare month end management accounts
Assist with the preparation of the financial Board reports and annual reports.
Assist with Statutory reporting requirements and co-ordinate the annual audit process
Prepare monthly forecasting
Prepare annual budgets
Covering within the wider team where required
Overseeing the payroll functions
Management of 3x staff members
Process improvement initiatives
Ad-hoc duties as required

Your profile:
A CA qualified accountant who can demonstrate sound business acumen is required to join this down to earth operation. You will be someone who shows initiative with sound analytical skills and advanced excel skills. Excellent communication is a requirement as well as the ability to guide staff whilst streamlining processes and building effective relationships across the business. You will have a thorough understanding and experience when it comes to financial reporting and will have been involved with audit in a medium-large sized business.How to apply

Expected salary: $60 – 65 per hour
