Job description: Job Description:The CompanyMy client is a privately owned Kiwi retail group with a $100mill revenue who have been in operation for over 40 years. They have a company culture that centers around having a positive impact on the community and the environment, with business objectives of continuous improvement in ethical, social and environmental impacts. They are currently going through a period of development and enhancement across the full accounting functions which requires a contract resource to drive these functions.The Role
As the Financial Accountant you will reporting to a Chief Commercial Officer and have a close relationship with the CEO. You will have a strong background in financial reporting and enjoy working in the fast-paced world of retail.Your duties will include:

• Month end close for a major BU
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• GST/FBT Returns
• Cashflow forecasting
• Consolidation of multiple P&Ls
• Statutory reporting – June YE
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Ad-hoc reporting

Your profile:
We are looking for the ideal candidate who possesses the following:

• CA qualified with 3+ years’ experience in the commercial space
• Someone with a good understanding of audit, IFRS, financial reporting and tax requirements ideally within a complex, multi-company group structure
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Someone with strong business acumen and who can foster strong relationships
