Job description: Morgan McKinley is partnering with a highly successful multinational organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant for their Donegal site. This is a unique opportunity to join a world-class finance function that plays a pivotal role in supporting strategic business decision-making and driving operational excellence across the organisation.You’ll be joining a supportive and experienced finance team where you’ll play an important role in analysing and reporting financial results. You’ll take ownership of key processes that support both the local site and wider business. This role offers great exposure to senior leaders, the chance to work closely with other departments, and strong opportunities to learn and grow in a forward-thinking, collaborative environment.Roles and Responsibilities

  • Preparing and coordinating budgeting and forecasting activities, aligning financial targets with strategic goals.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls, processes, and procedures.
  • Prepare and review key financial reports, including monthly performance summaries, variance analysis, and cost tracking for both local and divisional stakeholders.
  • Analyse key manufacturing metrics, contributing insight into cost drivers such as purchase price variance, inventory movements, and operational efficiencies.
  • Contribute to the management of the Gross Margin Improvement Programme, supporting initiatives that enhance financial performance and cost optimisation.
  • Provide guidance on capital planning and expenditure tracking, including the accurate maintenance of fixed assets and alignment of project spend with budget.
  • Assist with ongoing projects, including system improvements and process optimisation.

Job Requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant experience in a fast-paced finance environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and clearly communicate implications to the business.
  • Solid knowledge of financial reporting standards and accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
