This is an exciting position supporting the Finance Manager with the day to day finance operations. You’ll step into a hands-on and well-rounded financial accounting role, balancing month-end reporting with compliance and tax-related work. The role also supports payroll accounting (via an external provider) and the preparation and processing of claims.
Key responsibilities include:

• Month-end close (4-day turnaround)
• GL reconciliations and maintenance
• Tax and compliance including BAS, FBT, GST, and income tax
• Payroll-related accounting and statutory returns (payroll tax)
• Fixed asset management
• Preparation of monthly cashflow and income statements
• Support for external claims
• Variance analysis

The Successful Candidate Will

• Be CPA or CA qualified (or working towards)
• Bring prior experience in financial accounting or similar role
• Experience working in a medium to large size organisation
• Demonstrate strong Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables)
• Understand payroll tax and core compliance obligations
• Be comfortable working in a hands-on, process-driven environment
