Our client are an Irish-Owned Company with headquarters in Cork. They are seeking to add a Financial Accountant to their high-performing finance function. Our client are highly hybrid and will offer a flexible working environment.This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant interested in launching their career in a dynamic commercial environment with a clear path to becoming Financial Controller. Leading the finance team, you will have exposure to all areas of the business, play a key management role and help influence its strategic direction.Reporting to the Finance Director the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing and presenting accurate financial reports, including monthly management accounts, cash flow statements, and annual budgets.
• Managing month-end processes with precision and efficiency.
• Monitoring daily cashflow and projections.
• Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, including VAT, Intrastat, and PAYE filings.
• Overseeing internal controls, risk management, and financial compliance activities.
• Collaborating with the Board and Senior Management to develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and long-term plans.
• Managing the finance team to foster a high-performance culture.

A successful candidate will require:

• Qualifications: A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
• Experience: Prior experience in a senior financial position, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and best practices.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAGE 50.
• Skills: Excellent analytical, organisational, and leadership abilities, with a focus on strategic planning and commercial awareness.
• Strong interpersonal skills – must be comfortable presenting to key stakeholders
