Job description: Job Description:The CompanyMy client is a large privately owned NZ business that has been making waves in their market segment. As well as strengthening their existing business offerings, they have also been expanding into new markets. Due to recent growth, and with year end looming, they are looking for a technically strong Financial Accountant to assist the team to cover a maternity leave.The Role
You will work on one particular division of the business where you will report into the Finance Manager and cover the month-end across multiple entities of the division.
Your duties will include;

• Owning the month-end process for 3 entities
• Updating the daily cashflow
• Preparation and filing of the tax requirements
• Assisting with the preparation of P&Ls for specific business units with the ability to understand and investigate variances
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Fixed asset management
• Preparation of weekly reports
• Financial statements
• Assist with audit
• Ad-hoc duties as requested

Your profile:We are ideally looking for a CA qualified Accountant with at least 3+ years’ experience in a medium to large organisation. You will have an analytical mindset and a proactive approach to your work with the ability to meet deadlines and self-manage your workflow.The ideal candidate:

• Retail or inventory based experience is valued, but not a requirement
• A fast learner and capable of using your initiative
• Naturally curious and able to ask the right questions
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills
• Experience with large ERP systems is desired

Expected salary: $60 – 65 per hour
