Job description: The client:Our client is a fast growing finance company. They’re NZ owned and operated and have experienced significant growth, with no plans of slowing down anytime soon! There is a great friendly culture in the office so are looking for someone with a positive can-do attitude.Due to growth, they now have the need for a Financial Accountant to join the team. This is a full time role, Monday-Friday based in the office in Auckland CBD. A competitive salary is on offer for the sucesfull candidate.You may be newly qualified or have a few years under your belt, either way we want to hear from you if you have expereince with the below.Key responsibilities:Accounts Receivable

• Timely application of receipts to customer invoices.Maintaining customer details in the system.
• Creating customer invoices as require

Accounts Payable

• Review of invoices, organising approval and entering into the accounting system
• Processing weekly & monthly creditor payments ensuring accurate GL coding.
• Maintaining supplier details in the accounting system
• Processing business Bartercard transactions and expense claims ensuring accurate GL and GST coding.

Monthly Reporting

• Month end closes off process including transactional activities, journals, and preparation of monthly reports.
• Assisting CFO and Finance Manager with Trustee and Reserve Bank Reporting
• Completion of appropriate month end subledgers rollover

Other Accounting Tasks

• Prepare daily bank reconciliations.
• Monthly Balance Sheet & subledger reconciliations.
• Working closely with business internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare Weekly Portfolio Reports
• Assisting with Group half yearly audits and responding to auditor queries
• Assisting with preparation of IFRS six monthly and Annual Financial Statements
• Assisting with Group Budgeting and Cashflow forecasting
• Assisting with Group Monthly, Quarterly, six monthly and annual Statutory and Regulatory reporting
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and ensure internal controls are maintained.
