This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to the financial operations of Australia’s largest media company, with a focus on maintaining high financial standards, ensuring accurate reporting, and driving process improvements.Day to day you will:

• Manage the General Ledger to ensure proper financial transactions in line with Australian Accounting Standards (AAS).
• Support month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and account reconciliations. Collaborate with finance teams for accurate reporting.
• Assist in preparing documentation for external audits, ensuring compliance with requirements.
• Implement strong internal controls and identify areas for process improvement in accounting systems and reporting.
• Provide analysis of financial performance, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and offer variance explanations.
• Work closely with divisional Business Partnering finance teams and external auditors to ensure accurate financial data and effective decision-making.

Please note, the annual salary range for this position is 110,000- 120,0000k.QualificationsWhat we would like to see:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA/CA (or equivalent) qualification or in progress is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in financial accounting, ideally within the media, entertainment, or broadcasting sectors. Experience in a group finance function is a plus.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Microsoft D365) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups).
• Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards (AAS) and financial reporting principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide insights from financial data.
• Clear communication skills, able to explain complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
