Operational Finance’s key objectives are to support UNSW with core system and transactional (operational and general accounting) activities, and work towards standardised processes with continual improvements in systems and process to support UNSW financial management integrity and strategy.The Finance Service Support Lead plays a key role in delivering financial processes and accounting activities to support the daily operations of Faculties and Divisions. Reporting to the Manager Finance Support Services and overseeing a team of Finance Support Services Supervisors, this role ensures accurate financial operations, monitors service delivery, resolves complex inquiries, and supervises team activities.Responsibilities include generating reports, driving process optimisation, managing workloads, supporting finance projects and initiatives with a process improvement focus, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders to deliver high-quality service.Who You Are:You are a finance professional with tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or extensive experience in Finance Services within a large, complex organisation. You bring expertise in high-volume financial operations, with the ability to provide actionable advice and deliver results in a dynamic environment. ACA or CPA qualifications are highly regarded.Your advanced communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills enable you to thrive in multifaceted operations. You are a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of end-to-end financial processes and a proven ability to identify and implement process improvements. You excel in advanced Excel reporting and data analysis, leveraging these skills to drive insights and enhance outcomes.You have demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to set priorities, mentor, and motivate a team to deliver exceptional service.
