With such an iconic, essential business in the Australian landscape we are confident that you too will be proud to grow your career at Elders and wear the pink shirt.About the roleWe are looking for a Finance Officer – Real Estate, to join the Elders team on a Full Time, permanent basis.We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our Real Estate Operations team at our Corporate Head Office in Adelaide. You will be responsible for supporting the team with accurate and timely accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with Trust Accounting Regulations and Australian Accounting Standards. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and supportive team in a well-established company.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform bank and general ledger account reconciliations and prepare monthly internal financial reports.
- Compile and review monthly branch rental trust reconciliations for completeness.
- Accounting for franchise fees and rental commissions, ensuring compliance to contracts.
- Accounting for agent commissions, incentives, and cost recoveries, and preparing relevant reports.
- Process real estate sales transactions and payments for settlement.
- Facilitate external auditor requests and ensure compliance with Trust Accounting Regulations and Australian Accounting Standards.
About You:
- Tertiary qualifications (or nearing completion) in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping.
- Strong understanding of general accounting procedures, including journal entries and bank reconciliations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with the ability to analyze and report financial data.
- Knowledge of the real estate industry or trust accounting (preferred).
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with internal teams.
