Job description: The Finance Officer is responsible for managing financial transactions, budgeting, reporting, and compliance to ensure the organization’s financial health. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to accounting standards.Key Responsibilities. Financial Management & ReportingPrepare and maintain accurate financial records (ledgers, invoices, receipts, etc.).Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow).Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and company policies.. Accounts Payable & ReceivableProcess vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and payments.Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on overdue payments, and reconcile discrepancies.Manage payroll processing (if applicable).. Treasury & Cash Flow ManagementMonitor daily cash flow and liquidity.Prepare bank reconciliations and manage petty cash.Coordinate with banks and financial institutions as needed.. Compliance & AuditAssist in internal/external audits and tax filings (VAT, income tax, etc.).Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and statutory requirements.Maintain organized documentation for audit trails.. Process ImprovementIdentify inefficiencies and recommend improvements in financial processes.Implement automation tools (e.g., ERP, QuickBooks, SAP) to streamline workflows.. Stakeholder CollaborationLiaise with departments (e.g., Operations, HR) to align financial planning.Support management with financial insights for decision-making.Qualifications & SkillsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (BS Finance, Bcom, M.com).Experience: + years in finance/accounting roles (industry-specific experience a plus).Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Xero), Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs), and financial modeling.Soft Skills: Analytical mindset, integrity, time management, and communication skills.Bonus: Knowledge of tax regulations, auditing, or grant management (for NGOs).Work ConditionsWinter timing : to : / Summer timing : to : hrs.
