Our team provides strategic support to the CFO and senior leadership on enterprise-wide planning, analysis, and reporting. As the central place the entire company looks to for an understanding of financial performance, we play a major role in driving business decisions.
One of Amazon’s key financial focus is long-term, sustainable growth in free cash flow. As part of the Corporate Free Cash Flow (FCF) team, the Finance Manager/Principal will be responsible for the production and administration of several key finance deliverables. In this role, you will own key processes essential to the heartbeat of Amazon Finance by focusing on developing best practices for Corporate FP&A which have impact company wide.A day in the life
This highly visible role will be responsible for the forecasting, reporting, and analysis of Amazon’s Free Cash flow critical components, such as Capital Expenditures through close collaborations with business finance teams across Amazon. The Finance Manager/Principal will dive deep to gain a comprehensive understanding of the drivers of free cash flow and deliver insightful analyses and narratives to Amazon’s CFO, CEO, and other executive team members. This role will be a key business partner to Accounting, Tax, and Treasury and provide inputs for our cash and tax forecasts. We are looking for an experienced leader who is adaptable, capable of exercising high judgment, making informed decisions and insists on the highest standards.Other key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and improve financial analyses and narratives related to Free Cash Flow, Capex, and/or the Balance Sheet (Working Capital) during all planning, forecasting, and reporting cycles.
- Lead and develop Corporate FP&A Cash Flow and Capex process improvement initiatives.
- Will coach and develop team members within FCF.
- Manage and guide one or more team members. Will have the opportunity to coach and develop the team within FCF.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS– 10+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
– 7+ years of finance technology, forecast & budgeting, or other finance-focused competency experience
– Knowledge of accounting for retail payments, e-commerce or financial services industry
– Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
– Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– MBA, or CPA
– Experience with process improvement and delivery of financial features
– Experience building and leading in a complex finance team through a mixed finance skill set (commercial finance, accounting, FP&A, audit, operations)
– Demonstrated ability to develop and present analyses and insights to senior leaders
– Advanced analytic, financial modeling and reporting skills.

The base pay for this position ranges from $125,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
