We believe that together, as one team, we will make a positive and lasting difference for the WA community.Job DescriptionAbout the RoleReporting to the Head of Finance, we are seeking an experienced finance and accounting professional to lead our financial reporting team and oversee RWWA’s financial accounting requirements in compliance with Australian standards and applicable legislation.If you have a deep understanding of financial principles, accounting and auditing standards, and are ready to make an impact, we want to hear from you!Key accountabilities of the role include:

• Manage month-end, quarterly and end of financial year close processes including the preparation and presentation of RWWA’s financial statements and key performance indicators
• Produce monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc financial reports
• Ensure internal controls and policies of the company are applied
• Oversee production and lodgement of BAS, Payroll Tax, Betting Tax, and FBT returns
• Coordinate internal and compliance audits, and work with external auditors
• Lead and mentor the financial reporting team, fostering a high-performance culture
• Provide coaching and guidance on financial matters and decision-making
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes

QualificationsAbout You

• 5+ years experience with financial reporting and financial accounting gained in a big four or similar environment
• CA qualified or international equivalent with experience gained within the Chartered Accounting industry
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting and Finance
• Strong analytic and numerical skills
• Positive and pro-active attitude with a solution-orientated and strong delivery focus
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders
• Strong systems skills with advanced Excel
• Experience in financial accounting and corporate compliance such as statutory reporting, GST, and FBT
• Experience in process improvement
