Job description: Minerva is seeking a diligent and analytical Finance Executive – Clinical Trials to manage the financial aspects of our clinical research projects. This role is responsible for overseeing trial budgets, sponsor billing, and financial tracking of study-related expenses. The ideal candidate will have experience in finance within a clinical research or healthcare setting, with a solid grasp of project accounting, sponsor contracts, and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor clinical trial budgets in collaboration with project management and operations teams.
  • Track study-related costs against projected budgets and investigate variances.
  • Generate and submit invoices to sponsors based on milestones, deliverables, and contract terms.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on receivables and coordinate with sponsors for payment collection.
  • Maintain financial records for each clinical trial, including contracts, amendments, and payment schedules.
  • Assist in financial forecasting and revenue recognition related to ongoing clinical trials.
  • Provide regular financial reports and dashboards to project leads and senior management.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining documentation in compliance with GCP, financial regulations, and sponsor requirements.
  • Collaborate with the finance and business development teams to support pricing strategy for new proposals.
  • Assist with financial close processes, reconciliations, and accruals related to research projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (CA/ACCA/CMA or Master’s degree preferred).
  • 2–4 years of experience in financial roles, preferably in relevant field.
  • Proven experience in project accounting, budgeting, or sponsor invoicing is a strong advantage.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, revenue recognition, and GAAP/IFRS.
  • Proficiency in Excel, financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP), and familiarity with CTMS/clinical billing systems is a plus.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
