Job description: Job DescriptionClemenger Group is looking for a Finance Director to join our Melbourne team based in the CBD.This is a maternity leave cover role which is to commence in September.As the Finance Director of Quantum Market Research and Hall & Partners research agencies, your role will encompass:

• Enhancing the decision making ability of the Company’s Exec Management team though the provision of timely, actionable and insightful reporting and analysis.
• Expertly managing the day-to-day running of the Finance Department

• You will need excellent financial reporting skills as well as excellent communication skills to flourish in a fast-moving working environment.

Responsibilities:Management Reporting

• Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency
• Produce monthly reports with variance analysis for:

• Client profitability
• Profit & Loss
• Utilisation reporting
• Actuals vs Forecast
• Clemenger Group/Omnicom Reporting Package submissions (including Board Reporting)
• Generate monthly financial forecasts and models to assess future financial outcomes and support resource allocation decisions
• Review monthly revenue calculations in line with Accounting Standards
• Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare the annual Budgets
• Prepare ad hoc financial analysis

Working Capital

• Monitor and manage the working capital position of the business (credit term adherence, debtor collection, WIP management)
• Provide payment approvals

General Ledger

• Review journals, chart of accounts and mapping to Hyperion Financial Reporting system (used for result and reforecast submissions) to ensure reporting is consistent with local IFRS and US GAAP reporting requirements
• Review General Ledger accounts (Balance Sheet Recs)

Taxation

• Review and submit the Business Activity & Instalment Activity Statements
• Prepare the annual FBT Return
• Ensure robust internal controls are in operation to meet Sarbanes Oxley testing requirements
• Act as primary liaison for requests from CGL Holding Company

Team Leadership and Development

• Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting continuous learning and development
• Provide guidance and support to team members on complex financial matters and facilitate cross-functional collaboration

Other

• Review and approve payroll and payroll tax
• Review client contracts, including the renegotiation of terms
• Maintain insurance cover including Worker’s Compensation
• Provide support and prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis for CEO
