Job description: We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join the Azure Cloud Economics and Strategic Partnerships Team. Our team is responsible for helping Microsoft develop long-term partnerships with our most strategic customers by providing financial evaluation of cloud deals, developing cloud business cases/financial models alongside our customers, and providing competitive insights into the financial and technical landscape of the cloud.Within the team, this role will be responsible for leading Cloud Economics customer engagements within UK, France, Eastern Europe and Middle East, working directly with strategic customers to help position the financial advantages of the cloud.Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more.   • Leading and delivering customer executive briefings on Cloud Economics related topics.
  • Building customed cloud business cases for our most strategic customers. This requires engaging with customers’ executives and partnering with Technical Specialists and our Sales organization.
  • Developing new thought leadership content and scalable financial models and frameworks related to Cloud Economics topics. This requires partnering with Global Black Belts, Engineering, and other Subject Matter Experts.
  • Articulating the outcome of financial analyses, synthesizing complex analyses simply to describe the financial and technical benefits of Azure.
  • Being at the forefront of knowledge, learnings, and data about cloud business value, cost optimization strategies, the Azure product portfolio and other relevant topics.

Protect

  • Ensures compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and monitoring the accuracy of financial documents and business processes. Drives corrective measures. Consults with business partners on sharing financial information, approved instruments and processes, and consistency with corporate policies. Collaborates with Compliance groups to ensure the team is current on company policies and procedures.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
  • OR Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty in a business that evolves at super-fast pace.
  • Comfort working at multiple altitudes, from strategic/high-level projects to detailed analysis.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles.
  • Experience working in highly matrixed organizations.
  • Experience driving high-impact projects spanning multiple teams with numerous stakeholders.
  • Deep modeling capabilities and ability to work with financial systems.
  • Understanding of Azure product portfolio (or other Cloud or On-Premises offerings) and an understanding of drivers that impact large-scale cloud migrations.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical, and with a degree of technical depth.
  • Comfort engaging senior executives. Strong executive presentation and communication skills.
