  • Intake date commences 13th March 2025 – you must be available to start on this date
  • The first 12 weeks will consist of both training at the Royal New Zealand Police College in Wellington and in Dunedin. You must be able to attend training in Wellington for 2 weeks from 16th March, you will then return to Dunedin for 9 weeks and back to Wellington on the 12th week for one week of training (travel expenses covered by NZ Police)
  • You will be required to undergo a psychometric test as part of the recruitment process.

E tῡ ki te kei o te waka, kia pakia koe e ngā ngaru o te wā.Stand at the stern of the canoe and feel the spray of the future biting at your faceMō te tūnga | About the roleFile Management Support Officers (FMSO’s) are part of File Management, Transcription Services (FM&T) and are part of a nationally centralised group which supports a number of key elements within the case management process, our frontline staff and also provides key services to victims.Have you got an inquisitive mind? Are you able to get the job done, even if it’s in a fast-paced environment where there can be pressure from time to time?This is a challenging, interesting, and very important role, you would be recording data, establishing details, and efficiently managing information in real time. Quite simply, you would be our digital paperwork superheroes. Some of the key accountabilities in this role are:

  • Accurately recording and transcribing information to a high standard
  • Analysing information and using your initiative to make decisions
  • Using empathy with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicating easily and effectively both written and orally.
  • Managing conflicting demands.

The roster pattern is three early shifts, three late shifts, followed by three days off.Please note: This is a shift work position and this role will include night shifts in the near future – you will need to be available to work all shifts.What we offer
