Large privately owned NZ organisation that operates in the financial services industry looking for a Business AnalystThe Role
Reporting to the GM – Finance, you will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of our external financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and adherence to accounting standards. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of financial disclosures.Duties

• Prepare and manage the quarterly and annual external financial reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS and other relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial information and develop comprehensive reporting packages.
• Oversee the consolidation of financial data from various departments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory reports and liaise with external auditors during the audit process.
• Develop and enhance external reporting processes and practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations, assessing their impact on the company’s reporting practices.
• Provide support in financial analysis and strategic initiatives as needed.

Skills & Experience

• CA qualified with industry experience in an external reporting capacity
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in external reporting, financial analysis, or related roles, preferably within a public company.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and familiarity with local accounting regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in accounting software, preferably Netsuite and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
