Job description: Job briefThe role is responsible for driving strategic stakeholder engagement, public policy advocacy, and regulatory compliance to support the growth and sustainability of the LPG business in Hong Kong. The incumbent will build and maintain strong relationships with government bodies, industry partners, and internal teams to influence policy and regulatory environments favourably. This role will safeguard the company’s reputation, manage crisis situations, and lead outreach programs to enhance corporate visibility and public trust. Additionally, the role involves identifying new business opportunities, advising on strategic initiatives, and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements to support long-term business objectives.ResponsibilitiesPublicity & Awareness Plan and execute community programs and corporate events to strengthen corporate image and enhance brand visibility.Stakeholder Management Build and maintain strong relationships with government bodies, industry associations, and key external stakeholders.Policy Monitoring Track and analyse policy and regulatory developments; provide timely insights to support strategic business planningMedia & Reputation Support Support media communications and crisis response efforts to safeguard the company’s reputation.Business Development Support Assist the line manager in identifying new business opportunities and supporting growth initiatives.Events & Projects Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to deliver corporate-level events and manage ad hoc projectsRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, And SkillsBachelor’s degree or above in public administration, communications, journalism, or related field.At least 3 years’ experience in government, public sector, external relations, corporate communications, or journalism.Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And SkillsStrong understanding of government policy and current affairs, particularly in energy and environmental sectors.Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills in English and Chinese (including Putonghua).Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, multitask, and perform under pressure.Proficient in MS Office and Chinese word processing.Willingness to travel as required.About IP&E GBAFrom 1 July 2021, IP&E GBA acquired EssoLPG and become the authorized Esso/ Mobil LPG Brand Licensee in Hong Kong and Macau.As a licensee of Esso/Mobil Gas, we are committed to offering you high-quality products and value customer experience through our extensive distribution network, intensive industry expertise and professional customer service representative continuously.
