So that together we can support even more people – including our own – to live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.If you believe in better, we’d love to hear from you.About the RoleUnder the new Finance Target Operating Model effective from Jan 2025, the CFO Office, Financial Management & Planning function was established to support HK CFO in providing a forward-looking view of the financial and business metrics for CEO and the Executive Committee, facilitating their making of informed business decisions and driving the Company’s overall financial performance.There are five important pillars under this function, namely (1) Financial Management, Planning and Analysis, (2) Distribution Channels Analytics & Support (3) Expense (GOE & VEA) and Overrun Management, (4) Project Governance and Business Case Review and (5) CFO Office.This position mainly focuses on supporting Pillar 3 – Expense (GOE & VEA) and Overrun Management.Roles and Responsibilities:Expense (GOE / VEA) and Overrun Management

  • Support in the development, planning, and execution of expense management initiatives across AIA HK entities
  • Support in driving a culture of cost awareness and continuous improvement across the organization
  • Support in the development andimplementation of the company’s operating expense management program, including establishing governance, policies, processes, and KPIs to monitor and optimize strategic and operational spending
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in the company’s cost structure, efficiency, and financial performance through analysis, optimization, and control of ongoing operating costs
  • Enable the execution of end-to-end expense management of the HK business unit from expense review and approval, sourcing governance and procurement to timely and accurate tracking, categorization and forecasting of OPEX and CAPEX. Monitor and optimize the company’s non-operational expenses, such as interest, taxes, and other financial costs
  • Work closely with ExCo functions’ representatives to co-create and implement OPEX reduction initiatives and track their financial impact
  • Act as a strategic business partner to the ExCo functions and specifically their nominated delegates, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and profitability

People Management and Other Responsibilities

  • Support Head of CFO Office, Financial Management and Planning in people management, enhancing employee competencies, engagement and performance levels within the team
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by managers to meet operational &/or other requirements.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • University graduate in Business, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Information Systems, or Data Science with 10+ years of relevant experience
  • CPA required
  • Strong knowledge and interest in the insurance business
  • Strong data mindset with problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in management information systems and business intelligence tools
  • Experience in project management is preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
