In Small Business Banking, we cultivate strong connections with our communities and customers by building deep connections, having compelling proposition and exceptional execution.Do work that mattersAs part of our Growth journey, we are looking for an Executive Manager for the vibrant Newcastle & Surrounds, Mid North Coast and Central & Greater West regions of NSW. CBA is a flexible employer, and you will have the option to be based (or move to) any of the following regional office locations: Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Dubbo.Reporting to the General Manager, Small Business Banking NSW/ACT, as our Executive Manager you will lead a passionate team of Small Business Bankers and drive the financial, customer and risk performance for your allocated region. You will be accountable for developing team skills and knowledge across all business customer needs and solutions, including commercial credit origination up to $1.25m.This is a key leadership role within the Small Business extended leadership team and will be a contributing force to the overall performance of Small Business.More specifically, you will:

  • Be responsible for the successful execution of Business Banking strategic initiatives within your team.
  • Develop a high performing and customer centric culture that delivers great customer experience and strong relationships.
  • Ensure your business bankers are recruited, retained and set up for success and to ensure high engagement across those team members
  • Deliver customer advocacy, financial performance and risk outcomes/performance for your area.
  • Develop strong partnerships with relevant internal & external business partners to create and implement initiatives that support Small Business performance.
  • Proactively manage financial & non-financial risk such as ensuring our data is high quality and we are meeting our compliance obligations such as AML/KYC

We want to hear from you if:

  • You have demonstrated leadership experience preferably within Business Banking
  • Commercial lending experience
  • Demonstrated performance in delivering strong financial and customer outcomes
  • Proven capability in developing a risk aware team culture and proactively managing financial & non-financial risk
  • Degree qualified in finance or business discipline strongly preferred
  • Post graduate qualification preferred
  • CAA and FRSA Tier 2 Accreditation
  • Regionally based or prepared to relocate to regional NSW
  • Willingness and ability to undertake travel throughout your allocated Small Business Region.
