How will I help?Join the CRO Group Functions and Insurance team as an Executive Manager, providing crucial oversight and insights into People Management Risks. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders across the Westpac Group, including HR Enabling Service and HR Centre of Excellence, to drive effective risk management practices. As a proactive and outcome-focused Executive Manager, you will support the Head of Group Functions Risk and the CRO Group Functions by:

  • Executing the People Management Risk oversight plan: Ensuring the Voice of Risk is evident in all actions.
  • Providing specialist oversight and insights: Influencing decisions to optimize the risk/reward balance and

helping the Group achieve its objectives within established risk frameworks and policies.

  • Managing stakeholder relationships: Offering visibility and assurance about the Group’s People Risk, and supporting the business in understanding and managing these risks effectively.

Advanced knowledge in operational risk, compliance, and regulatory frameworks is essential, especially with a focus on employee entitlements. Strong business acumen, superior communication skills, and the ability to influence senior leadership are crucial. You’ll need to be a critical thinker, capable of strategic and granular decision-making, and a proactive self-starter who can prioritize and deliver results on time.
