Detailed DescriptionThe Job Holder is responsible for the oversight, management and handling of the outward facultative reinsurance function.The Head of Facultative Outward Reinsurance will coordinate, negotiate, place and administer the facultative reinsurance placed with reinsurance brokers and reinsurers across all lines of business written by Sukoon Insurance Company
Job Requirements– Develop and maintain Sukoon relationships with brokers and markets– Establish and oversee markets and brokers meetings– Manage all facultative reinsurance placements– Maintain facultative reinsurance slips tracking spreadsheets– Develop/Implement facultative reinsurance standards / certificates in coordination with Head of Reinsurance and Reinsurance Legal Team.– Implement and maintain facultative reinsurance procedures– Provide technical reinsurance support and liaise with distribution, underwriting, reinsurance operations teams and all other relevant stakeholders in the design, implementation and ongoing service of compliant reinsurance programs that meet SIC client requirements and related service expectations– Act as the central point of contact on reinsurance matters related to large and complex programs as well as partnership agreements.– Work closely with SIC Finance, Operations and other Reinsurance Departments to resolve issues relating to facultative reinsurance– Assist with the calculation and booking of premiums, premium adjustments, profit commission & NCB within core systems– Assist in the production of premium and loss report to support reinsurance accounts– Assist with the cash call processes, reinsurance recoveries, including query resolution– Perform other duties relating to reinsurance as requested by senior management
Additional Details– 5 – 10 years of experience in facultative reinsurance placements– UAE / GCC reinsurance market experience is essential– Tier 1 Broker experience is preferred– London market company and Lloyd’s Syndicate experience would be an advantage– Graduate degree in Insurance, Risk management, Actuarial, Mathematics or Engineering– Achieved DIP CII. ACII is a plus or studying towards the designation
