To enable this, and in parallel, the Society is undergoing significant transformation of its technology infrastructure.The RoleWe’re looking for an experienced Exam Manager for maternity cover approximately for a period of 9 months’.In this role, you’ll take responsibility for managing all aspects of our core qualification, the Investment Management Certificate.The PersonAs an effective communicator, you will engage with a variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally, including a range of subject matter experts and third-party contractors.Your strong organisational skills will allow you to manage all aspects of the ongoing development of the Investment Management Certificate examinations and Official Training Manuals according to agreed processes and timelines.Your Key ResponsibilitiesThe core objective of this role is to manage all aspects relating to the yearly updating and delivery of the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) qualification.Key ActivitiesManage and coordinate the development and delivery of the IMCManage and coordinate IMC Panel activities and act as the central point of contact for Panel membersWork closely with IMC Panel Chair to set Panel meeting agendas and ensure the successful management of meetingsWork closely with IMC Panel Chair to identify any skills gaps in IMC Panel composition and recruit and induct new IMC Panel members to fill such gapsTake minutes from the IMC Panel meetings and follow up on actionsMonitor performance of examinations; volumes of enrolments, sittings and lapses via IMC pipeline monitoring.Manage and coordinate the activities of Academic Advisers, including communication and agreement of topic areas for question developmentManage the IMC question bank and those who work with it, ensuring security is maintained at all timesPrepare questions for IMC Panel reviewCollate Panel feedback on new questions and examsWork with psychometricians throughout exam form development and undertake form review, proofing each form and ensuring the form displays correctly in Navigator systemScore-test IMC examinations and work with the Qualifications and Operational Oversight Manager / Head of Qualifications to obtain final form sign offManage the development and delivery of the IMC Official Training Manual (OTM) and coordinate the work of the authors, publisher and printer to meet agreed timelinesManage and coordinate Academic Advisers in responding to candidate assessment queriesManage Sample/Mock Exams and their delivery through the websiteManage and develop the IMC areas of the CFA UK websiteSupport the Head of Qualifications in ensuring that CFA UK’s IMC remains compliant in meeting Ofqual regulations and FCA requirementsManage and co-ordinate all CFA UK qualification reminder emailsOutreach and PromotionSupport outreach and marketing activities as required in relation to the IMCCommitteesManagement of IMC Panel meetingsSupport of the Professional Learning PanelEssential Skills and ExpertiseEffective Communicator: Skilled at building relationships both internally and externally. Confident in talking to subject matter expert volunteers and other stakeholders and engaging in subject matter contentQualification management: expertise in all aspects of qualification management and computer-based testing, from syllabus review to question commissioning and review, question bank management, exam publication and updating of supporting learning materials (ie the Official Training Manuals)Volunteer management: working effectively and collaboratively with volunteer subject matter experts to meet agreed timelinesPsychometric analysis: a solid grasp of key psychometric performance indicators to enable ongoing monitoring of exam performanceEssential ExperienceMinimum 2+ years in exam management (specifically computer-based testing) within an Ofqual regulated awarding organisationDesirable ExperienceManaging qualifications with the financial services sector generally and specifically in the investment sectorManaging and enhancing internal processes and proceduresOur CultureTeam CollaborationOur team thrives on collaboration.
