Job description: The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts owns and operates two award-winning hotels in Singapore: The Fullerton Hotel Singapore (opened in 2001) and The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore (opened in 2010). Both hotels anchor the historic and cultural Fullerton Heritage precinct, located in Marina Bay – the heart of Singapore’s city centre. The Fullerton Hotel Sydney debuted in October 2019, in the historic former Sydney General Post Office, marking The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts’ first international expansion.The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong will be the first waterfront resort on Hong Kong Island, with over 400 guest rooms overlooking the spectacular South China Sea, located at the foot of the city’s most popular attraction in the Southside.Responsibilities

• Responsible for achieving events & banquet revenues, as well as the targets set by the Director of Events for the year, including generation of leads, prospecting, converting, team goal establishment, employee satisfaction survey results, etc
• Assist in identifying market needs and trends in Catering, Wedding, Social, Conference and Corporate Businesses; define target markets, review direct competition and ensure complete awareness by all Sales Team of competitor’s activities, strategies, and promotions
• Develop existing business and solicit new events business through lead generation and events sales marketing, solicit new events customers through traditional and non-traditional sales techniques
• Compile key financial reports for business analysis, events & catering budget business plans, regular budget and forecast reports, team production tracking/management
• Conduct market research on competitors’ analysis and market trends; monitor competitor set activities and intelligence sources to identify sources of business and prospect new leads/accounts to exceed fair market share performance
• Maintain current market intelligence by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations

Requirements

• Bachelor’ degree or above
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Events Sales position
• Aggressive and positive working attitude
• Solid sales experience in F&B, event and wedding planning within hotel / resort area, extensive knowledge and background in wedding planning / sales
• In-depth industry knowledge and previous exposure to hotel social events sales models
• Able to manage the identification and resolution of day-to-day problems related to event/wedding requests
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English
• Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Events Sales Manager
