This role involves assisting in the preparation of disclosures, developing processes and controls and gathering and analysing sustainability data to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and to support both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in finance or accountancy, alongside experience in sustainability reporting and assurance.Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Assist in the preparation of detailed sustainability disclosures in line with frameworks such as the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the IFRS’s Sustainability Standards
• Support the development, implementation and maintenance of sustainability-related processes and controls, and the reporting risk register
• Support the implementation of sustainability data management and reporting systems
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to provide the necessary documentation and explanations for sustainability data
• Collect and analyse sustainability-related data from across the organisation to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Stay abreast of evolving sustainability regulations and standards, particularly the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)
• Ensure sustainability reporting complies with all regulatory requirements
• Work closely with various teams across the business, including Finance, Procurement, Environmental Health & Safety and HR, to gather relevant information and provide insights supporting sustainability data and disclosures
• Communicate sustainability performance and initiatives to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Sustainability, or a related field
• Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA is preferred
• Strong post-qualification experience in an accountancy, finance or sustainability-related role
• Significant hands-on experience in assurance and/or sustainability reporting and with familiarity in working with reporting standards including the GRI and the ESRS
