Job description: Job Description:Wood is currently inviting expressions of interest for Lead Static/Piping position to be based in Muscat, Oman. Please note that at this stage, applications for this role are invited as an Expression of Interest (EOI) whilst opportunities are being fully determined. This position will be based in Muscat, Oman subject for your salary/T&C’s acceptance.Responsibilities:

• Review and raise clarifications on the ITB /Client documents/ Contractual documents in case of ambiguity in definition / lack of clarity / lack of reference/ areas of doubt etc.
• Technical Review of Concept and FEED documents and provides technical inputs for technical queries / FEED verification reports.
• To have single – point responsibility for all mechanical equipment engineering (static equipment) design deliverables and ensure that they conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the Client’s specifications, policies and procedures.
• Liaise and engage with Licensors, Equipment Vendors and OEM’s as required to conclude the project deliverables in accordance with the project scope.
• Prepare & Review project Design Basis, Project Specifications for Static and package equipment.
• Prepare & review Material Requisitions (MR) and Engineering Specification for all kinds of Static Equipment and Packages.
• Provide technical assistance and support for the procurement of major equipment.
• Review vendor offers and technically evaluate the vendor offers by raising technical queries. Evaluate the technical terms with the vendors during technical meetings.
• Prepare and review Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) and Approved for Purchase requisition (AFP).
• Participate in Kick of meeting for project and vendor packages.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline (essential)
• Minimum 15 years at least 10 years in oil & gas and 6 years in FEED/Engineering experience.
• Experience in the middle east is preferred
• Be a team player where recognition of team performance as a whole is a greater priority than projecting individual contribution
• Be able to work in a team environment and handle multiple project responsibilities
• Assuring that work and project promises are successfully delivered and appropriate reviews have been conducted
