You’ll have access to modern technology, work on real projects, and follow a structured development plan to build your skills and confidence.If you’re curious, analytical, detail-focused, and enjoy a mix of office and field work, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.Key deliverables include:

• Assist with the preparation of detailed overhead and underground design drawings and documentation.
• Support the capture of field data to inform safe, efficient, and cost-effective design outcomes.
• Learn and use design software and systems such as AutoCAD and GIS.
• Help ensure safety in design principles are embedded into all work.
• Work closely with engineers, designers, contractors, and local authorities.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and support the delivery of high-quality outcomes.

It is preferable that candidates have:

• A relevant qualification or are working towards one (e.g., electrical engineering, civil engineering, drafting).
• Basic understanding of, or interest in, electricity network design principles.
• Good computer skills and the ability to learn technical software (training provided).
• A strong attention to detail and willingness to follow structured processes.
• An interest in developing knowledge of design standards (e.g., AS/NZS 7000).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• A positive attitude and strong appetite to learn.
